Certificate In Rubber Technology

The PRISL “Basic course in Rubber Technology ” course, intended to assist in upgrading the knowledge and skills of floor level Technical operatives,

Our intention is to educate and motivate the work force for a higher and effective productivity level. We therefore, request all Industries to avail themselves of this opportunity and enroll your candidates to follow this useful course conducted in Sinhala.

  • 3 months, weekends on Saturdays on a few Sundays

Diploma In Rubber Technology

Since the inception of the course the PRISL has strives to provide a comprehensive and practical course of studies with a view to molding individuals to face the Challenges in the Industry. The Syllabus also has been revised a few times to cater to the changing needs of the Industry.

Entry Requirement

  • GCE (O/L) with GCE (A/L) pass in Chemistry;
  • Minimum of 7 years working experience in the Polymer Industry with GCE (OL);
  • Professional qualification with a scientific background.

Duration: 9 months, weekends on Saturdays on a few Sundays

Graduateship in Rubber Technology

This study course delivers a well designed and intellectually demanding programme which will enhance personal effectiveness for technical and managerial staff in the rubber industry.

The programme demands that students work flexibly with the aim of producing real out comes that can be used in the place of work. The study modules are interactive and are drawn to fulfill the industry needs.

Hand-on experiments/ practicals focusing physical testing, procesing and mesuring properties of rubber.

Computer applications tro enhance productivity in the rubber Industry.

Pre-engineering study modules encompassing all discplinces of engineering as applied to rubber industry.

Study skills component that encourages creative thinking, time mangment strategies and improved reading skills.

An indipendent research project suervised by experts in the industry and University Professors.

Monitoring and career shadowing by Academic Advisor and professionals in the fied providing career counselling.

Field trips to local rubber products and raw rubber manufacturing firms and Research Institutions.

Participation at seminars, workshops and conference organized by PRI

Practicals at RRI, IDB, ITI and and seleted Industries.

  • Diploma in Rubber Technology (DPRI)
  • HND/NDT/NCT (In Polymer Technology)
  • G.C.E( A/L) Science, 3 Passes
  • Graduate of a recognized Unversity/ Instiute

(Final selection at the sole discretion of the selection board)

Duration:  Three (3) years, weekends on Saturdays & Sundays

Medium: English

Course Fee: Rs. 50,000/= per year + Registration Fee Rs. 10,000/= (First year only)  Total Course Fee for 3 year period Inclusive of registration fee = Rs. 160,000/=
